Senator Chris McDaniel Announces Re-Election Bid
LATONIA, KY — State Senator Chris McDaniel filed to seek re-election in Kentucky’s 23rd Senate district today. McDaniel has proudly served the citizens of Kenton County in Frankfort for two terms and if re-elected will continue the fight for fiscal responsibility as Chair of the esteemed Appropriations and Revenue Committee.
McDaniel , a native of Kenton County, left home to attend The Citadel and serve his country as an infantryman in the U.S. Army. He returned home to run the family business, McD Concrete, which has serviced the Greater Cincinnati region for over 30 years.
“I am extremely grateful for the support I have received here at home,” said McDaniel. “Since 2013, I have helped pass bipartisan legislation, ranging from confronting the heroin epidemic to ensuring record funding for education, I have fought hard for government transparency, protected the unborn, worked to improve public safety, and promoted economic opportunity for the families in our district. I am ready as ever to continue being your voice in Frankfort and lead the change towards solving our most pressing issues.”
As a ranking member of the majority party, Senator McDaniel also serves on the the Banking and Insurance Committee; The Capital Projects and Bond Oversight Committee; the Licensing Occupations and Administrative Regulations Committee; the Natural Resources and Energy Committee, and the State and Local Government Committee.

I have seen legislation come to fruition that has been years in the making.
